The world in which we live is an ever-changing society, and it is easy to see that the young people of this generation face a much different world than that of previous generations. This world, in its depraved condition, has become more sin-corrupted than ever before. It is for this reason that it is imperative for young people to be equipped with the knowledge and wisdom of God's eternal Word. Ps
ychologists tell us that children go through developmental stages, and at every stage of development, there are skills that need to be learned. Christian development also follows developmental stages. It is for this reason that separate programs for children, youth, and adults are needed. It is for this reason that the Victory Leaders Band was designed to meet the needs of each individual from an individual's twelfth birthday and strives to continue to meet this challenge through age thirty-five. In Psalm 78:4 it is recorded, "...shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done." The Victory Leaders Band is an aid in this ministry of encouraging a personal relationship with God and submission to His perfect will for individual lives. The objective is to build each young person up in the Lord, and this department works at helping lead every young person to Christ. Raise means "to nourish up to maturity." The vision of the Victory Leaders Band Department is to be engaged in the great responsibility of raising up a generation that has a vision of Christ and the commission He has given to His Church.
