Who do we serve? We serve persons who are D/deaf, hearing impaired, Blind, as well as those with physical and developmental disabilities.

Disability Services & Ministries offers persons with disabilities throughout the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland opportunities/resources to live life to their fullest potential, making it possible to experience a fuller participation in Church & society. Since 1966, Catholic Charities Disability Services & Ministries has offered numerous services to & with persons with disabilities in the 8 counties

of the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio. What type of services and ministries do we offer? Our services include: Camp Happiness, a day camp for children and young adults with developmental disabilities ages 5 to 21; Saturday Adult Social and Educational Program for individuals with developmental disabilities 21 & older; Dances and other community events/programs for persons with developmental disabilities; Interpreting Services and advocacy; Special Religious Education assistance for parishes throughout the diocese.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the sad news that our longtime Saturday Program participant and dear friend, Eric Joseph, passed away on Monday, August 31.

Eric was a special part of our Saturday Program family. He brought so much personality, humor, and energy with him. He loved making people laugh, dancing (moving those hips!), spending time with his friends, and, of course, telling all the pretty ladies how pretty they are AND telling Gerry that he is an old man. His energy filled a room, and he formed so many meaningful friendships throughout his years with us.

Please keep Eric’s mom Pauline, his sister Nancy and other siblings, family, friends, and everyone who loved him in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Eric was truly one of a kind, and Saturday Program will not be the same without him. We feel incredibly lucky to have known him and to have had him as part of our Saturday Program family. ❤️

🎉 We can’t believe it’s already been a week since we celebrated 60 years of Camp Happiness/ Disabilities Services & Ministries at our Field Day! 🎉

It was a wonderful day of reconnecting, celebrating six decades of inclusion, and our shared history!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, participated, and helped make this milestone celebration possible. We can’t wait for 60 more! ☀️🤟🏼🎉

We are looking forward to seeing you and celebrating 60 years of Camp Happiness FUN!!

For those of you joining us for the celebration - lunch is at noon in the Founders Room, with Bishop Woost leading prayer, followed by remarks and awards, then it is dance time! 💃🕺

New Date: Friday, July 24, 2026
Time: 12:00–3:00 p.m.
Location: Center for Pastoral Leadership (28700 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe, OH 44092)

Registration has been extended to July 22, 2026. If you have already registered, no further action is needed—your registration has automatically been transferred to the new date.
