Forward family, It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that our sweet brother Anthony has gone home to be with Jesus. We are all heartbroken to hear about this news and ask you to join us in praying for Paul and Shannon and the rest of the family as they process and mourn. May God be closer than ever before!

It seems that people today have confused Godly ACCEPTANCE with Godly LOVE. Acceptance is to be a universal offering to ALL PEOPLE of ALL KINDS and ALL LIFESTYLES in ALL BACKGROUNDS; while truly LOVING someone introduces TRUTH into the relationship. Acceptance of everyone- right where they're at- should be the Christian standard; building relationships strong enough to bear the weight of sharing Truth in Love. Today, we will teach on how Acceptance is like the appetizer that has to come before the main dish of loving another person; with LOVE being a dish that sometimes has to be served "cold".

How seriously do you take Jesus in your life? I mean, if there was a scale from 1-10...with 10 being every thought, action, and moment dedicated to following Him...and 1 being you believe in Him and that's about it...where would you stand RIGHT NOW in your life?

What if there was definitive Way- right from the mouth of Jesus- to KNOW exactly how seriously you are taking Him and His Word? Today, we begin to delve deeply into the single attribute that would lead the entire WORLD to seeing Jesus...if only we took Jesus at His Word about it.

For those that don't know...we have been trying to put a roof on the Forward Life Center pretty much since the day we moved our outreach into the Broadway property back in 2013. It is now at the point of raining in the sanctuary, and we are giving ourselves one month to raise the money to fix it for good. We have a very generous company who agreed to do it right for 20K (less than half its true cost, for silicon sealed 50 year roof).

We have strived over the years to make the building simply a "backdrop" to what God has called us to on the STREETS of Slavic Village, but even I can't deny the value of our people having this safe haven in the community- where our collective lives "out there" become unified.

We have never passed a basket or asked for a dollar from our community. No one makes a single dollar at Forward...ever. But I'm breaking that core value of ours for the sake of this immediate need.
