Dolly Parton gave the world music, laughter, kindness—and, of course, plenty of rhinestones. But one of her greatest legacies may be the millions of children who received a book through her Imagination Library.

She showed us that a legacy isn’t just about being remembered; it’s about the difference you made that continues long after you’re gone. That’s something we understand at Lake View.

And behind it all? A dedicated nonprofit foundation charged with preserving trees, buildings, and monuments for generations to come. From restoration of the Garfield Memorial to curating educational programs and community events, a lot goes into keeping Lake View going.

On National Nonprofit Day, we're celebrating the Lake View Cemetery Foundation team, who make that work possible—and the community that continues to believe Lake View is a place for the living.
