Church of God of Prophecy Global Communications celebrates and honors Dr. Katherine Osborn for completing sixteen years of faithful service at the Church of God of Prophecy International Offices. On September 1, Katherine will follow her heart’s desire to serve in the role of pastor as she assumes leadership of the Church of God of Prophecy in Liberty City, Texas.

Today the staff gathered to honor her years of service, remembering her dedication to excellence in every task, her meticulous ex*****on, and her faithfulness. She has served with distinction and has been a dependable prayer warrior throughout her ministry among us.

Most recently, Katherine has served as a copy editor with Global Communications and the White Wing Messenger, where her careful eye and commitment to excellence have been a blessing to our movement. Over the years, Katherine has served in World Missions, the Center for Biblical Leadership, and Accredited Ministry Development/Spirit and Life Seminary, giving herself wholeheartedly to each assignment.

While we will miss her daily presence, we are grateful that Katherine has agreed to continue serving as part of our contractual team of editors. Please join us in thanking Katherine for her years of faithful service and in praying for her as she enters this exciting new chapter of ministry.

Global Communications is excited to announce the addition of Evelyn Bathe as our new Production Designer in the Art/Editorial department. Evelyn brings with her many years of experience in publishing with expertise in editing and writing.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Evelyn served faithfully alongside her husband, Bishop Joseph Bathe, who filled multiple roles as a pastor and leader in the Church of God of Prophecy. Her deep connection to the Church and her heart for ministry bring an added richness to her role here at the International Offices.

Job Posting: Graphic Designer

Title Global Communications Department Graphic Designer
Reports to Global Communications Publications Coordinator

Purpose

The Global Communications department graphic designer provides artwork and layout services to all departments of the International Offices of the Church of God of Prophecy, including but not limited to Global Communications department projects and the design, layout, and production of the White Wing Messenger, Mensajero Ala Blanca, and Le Messager a l’Aile Blanche magazines. The designer will also assist other COGOP leaders with requests for graphics. Spanish-speaking or French-speaking applicant will be given added consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to and communicate regularly with the department coordinator
• Monitor and log all project requests.
• List/update all in-process projects and submit to supervisor daily or weekly as requested
• Choose and/or design artwork each month for a thematic edition of the White Wing Messenger, as well as lay out text, place artwork, and retrieve/place contributor biographical information as needed. When complete, provide a PDF version to the coordinator for proofreading, make necessary corrections, and upload each final version to the digital platform in accordance with established deadlines
• Design artwork for social media posts as requested by the department coordinator
• Assist LDD (Youth Ministries, Children’s Ministries, AMD, and the Executive Director’s Office), the Presiding Bishop’s Office, AMD, Spirit and Life Seminary, and Sunday school curriculum editor with projects
• Assist with Mensajero and Le Messager production as needed
• Assembly years: Implement and complete various art, design, and layout assignments to facilitate the preparation and ex*****on of the International Assembly. Designer must be available to work as assigned by the department coordinator at the International Assembly for the duration of the event.
• Other duties as requested by the department coordinator

Qualifications

• Prefer an associate degree or higher in art, graphic design, or social media
• Two years’ professional experience in graphic design. Five years’ professional experience will substitute for a degree.
• Exhibit strong creative thinking in graphic design, be able to adapt quickly to change, and be able to multitask. He or she must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and other graphic arts programs.
• Knowledge of multimedia design including video production
• Webpage building/design experience
• Willing to faithfully attend a Church of God of Prophecy church

Working Conditions

The graphic designer must be able to work eight hours per day, five days a week, in the International Offices in Cleveland, Tennessee; have the ability to communicate with all levels of management, sit most of the workday, and have a minimum of sight restrictions. Some projects may require extra hours.

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
