Flags and symbols remind us who we are, what we belong to, and the story we carry together.

Today on Flag Day, we’re grateful not only for our country, but also for the symbols of faith that unite us as the Church. Our diocesan crest represents a mission much bigger than ourselves, a community rooted in Christ and sent out to proclaim the Gospel.

May we never forget that our ultimate identity is found in being sons and daughters of God. 🇺🇸✝️

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us. 💙

Mary’s heart shows us what complete trust in God looks like: faithful, humble, courageous, and full of love.

May we learn from her how to say “yes” to the Lord in the ordinary moments of daily life.

“are you so excited to be on summer break from ministry??”

Any youth minister will tell you there is no such thing as an off season in the salvation of souls business, and certainly not the summer. Summer can be such a time of powerful encounter and relationship forming when taken seriously.

We are so blessed in the Diocese of Cleveland by our culture of parish youth ministry. This week, 60 individuals, youth ministers, priests, core members, parish employees & more, traveled from Ohio to the sunshine of Phoenix, Arizona to be a part of Life Teen’s Catholic Youth Ministry Convention (CYMC) among the 750+ from all around the country that have gathered to learn, pray, renew and revitalize ministry life together.

So no, we are NOT on summer BREAK, but we are busy prepping our hearts, minds and souls to be better ministers to YOU young Cleveland, and we can’t wait to come home and share all the goodness with you (but we aren’t in a rush, because we heard it was raining in Ohio… ☀️🕶️)

Today we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi, the gift of Jesus truly present in the Eucharist. ✨

Across the world, Catholics take to the streets in Eucharistic processions, publicly proclaiming what we believe: Christ is with us.

As we walk with Jesus through our neighborhoods and communities, may our hearts remember that He is not distant. He is near. He remains.

The Saint Carlo Institute for Youth Ministers is a four-day experience designed to equip, encourage, and renew those serving young people in grades 6–12 through classes, workshops, prayer, community, daily Mass, and more.

Today we celebrate the Memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church 🌹
At the foot of the Cross, Jesus gave Mary to all of us, not just as His mother, but as our mother. From that moment on, she has never stopped caring for the Church, walking with us, praying for us, and leading us closer to her Son.

Mary was there at the beginning, praying with the apostles, waiting for the Holy Spirit, helping form the very first Christian community. And she’s still with us now, guiding us with the same quiet strength and trust in God.
Whatever you’re carrying today, you don’t carry it alone. You have a mother who sees you, loves you, and gently points you to Jesus.

Today we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, the moment the Church was born.
The same Spirit that gave the apostles courage, boldness, and faith is given to us, too. We are not meant to keep our faith to ourselves… we are sent to live it, share it, and let it transform the world.
