GREATER COLLINWOOD RECEIVES $20,000 CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS DIGITAL EDUCATION GRANT

Greater Collinwood Development Corporation recently received national grant funding from Charter Communications/ Spectrum to facilitate digital literacy and address the digital divide across GCDC’s service area. The LAUNCH COLLINWOOD project proposed by the community development corporation received Digital Education Grant funding of $20,000 to provide digital literacy and workforce services to 100 low-income seniors and residents.
ASC3, Passages and CMHA have partnered with Greater Collinwood to assist seniors in aging-in-place measures and to facilitate upward economic mobility for low-income families. Greater Collinwood Development Corporation has also partnered with PCs For People to absorb the cost of computer procurement for those who participate in the LAUNCH COLLINWOOD project.
The national award Digital Education Grant from Charter Communications is a major milestone for the organization; Greater Collinwood expects to begin the programming Nov. 2020 - Feb. 2021.
