Chapter President Victor McDowell, Jr. offered remarks of reflection at the funeral service of Thomas F. Jones, Jr., honoring a distinguished legacy of service and leadership. Mr. Jones was a pioneering law enforcement executive, having served as the first African American Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Cleveland Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and as former Chief of Police for the Cleveland Clinic Police Department. His professional contributions further included long-standing engagement with the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, where he was a Life Member since 1988 and served as Treasurer of the Greater Cleveland Chapter, advancing mentorship and leadership development within the profession.

Honoring the Legacy of Thomas F. Jones, Jr. Mr. Jones was a pioneering leader whose distinguished career included serving as the first African American Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Cleveland Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and as former Chief of Police for the Cleveland Clinic Police Department.

His legacy extended far beyond his professional titles. Mr. Jones was a dedicated member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives and proudly held Life Member status since 1988. He also faithfully served as Treasurer of the Greater Cleveland Chapter of NOBLE, contributing to the advancement, mentorship, and development of minority law enforcement professionals throughout the region.
