It is with sadness that I share the passing of our sister Mary Louise Moses. Mary was a lifelong Episcopalian and was loved by her parish family at Christ Church. I have not been given any information about funeral services, but will pass that along as I receive it. Rest In Peace my friend. Until we meet again!

One year ago on Easter Sunday, as our church reopened for indoor services for the first time since the Covid pandemic hit, we announced with joy the return of Deacon Lynn Plummer to Christ Church. Deacon Lynn grew up at Christ Church, and when he answered God’s call to the diaconate he left to serve parish’s within the Diocese of North Carolina.
As a deacon Lynn is called as a members of the clergy along with priests and bishops. The deacon's ministry has three dimensions: liturgy, word and service. At the liturgy, he assists the bishop or priest. By word he reads the Gospel during the service and may preach from time to time. A deacons primary call is to the community outside the walls of the church, and a deacon is responsible for bringing the needs of the world to the church community.
For those who know Lynn, you know that he is a kind and caring man of deep faith. He has always been dedicated to the service of others throughout his life.
We are blessed to have Deacon Lynn back at Christ Church serving the community he has been apart of his entire life. Please join us in welcoming Deacon Lynn, and his amazing wife Debbie Plummer, back home to Christ Church. May their presence continue to be a blessing to us all!
