Today is the quiet day…

The day in between heartbreak and miracle.
The day when the world felt still… but heaven was not.

On this Saturday, Jesus lay in the tomb.
The disciples were grieving.
Hope felt lost.
Promises felt broken.

They didn’t know Sunday was coming.

But while the world saw silence…
God was still working.

Because even in the waiting…
even in the unknown…
even in the darkest moments…

God is never done.

So if today feels heavy…
if you’re in a season of waiting…
if you’re holding onto faith by a thread…

Remember this day.

The day before everything changed.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5

Sunday is coming. 🤍

Luke 2:21-38

I know, you're thinking, the birth of Jesus is our focus?
For Easter? Yes. Because we cannot celebrate Easter without the birth of the Savior.
Scriptures tell us that, although we are born, we will experience death.
And the wisest decision we can make is to choose which life we will live after death.
Only Salvation can change that. The story of Simeon should remind us that God's promises comes in unexpected ways, and seeing it requires attentive hearts and faith. Simeon was faithful, righteous, and attentive. He was "looking forward to the consolation of Israel".
His hope wasn't distant. It was deeply rooted in God's promise of the Messiah.
In these verses, Simeon immediately recognized God's salvation. Holding Jesus, he praised God for allowing him to see the light of revelation for ALL people.
As we journey to the Cross, may we learn to see the light and the promise God offers us.
Father, open the eyes of our hearts. Let each moment we live be devoted to the promise of your love for us. Amen

During this season of Lent, we want to send you daily scriptures in hopes God's Word will lift you up and most importantly, show each of us just how much He loves us.

We offer these to also show you that God desires to have a relationship with you through Jesus Christ, especially those who may be considering Jesus for the first time.

And it's our prayer that we can be encouraged in our faith in the days ahead.

We serve a risen Savior! In this time, may we follow Him.

Please be in prayer for the Cresswell family. Rick's mother, Betty, entered into glory last night.

A concert violinist finishes a performance to a standing ovation. But the violinist is weeping.
The people are confused, because everyone loved it! Except one man.

As the violinist points out the one man not standing, he explains to them the man is his teacher.

His teacher was not pleased, and if the teacher is not pleased, the violinist is not pleased.

As Christians, our focus should be to please Godrather than to please the world.

II Cor. 5:9.

Pleasing God must be our primary, persistent, focus in this world. Since what we do now has eternal consequences, our goals must be to please God.
Make God happy and the rest will fall in to place.

Have a Blessed day,

Pastor Rick

We have been contacted by a singing duo that is looking to find a local church for Sunday, September 21st morning service.
If you have the need or desire to have them sing, or, if you know of another church that can accommodate them, pm our page and we'll get you in touch with them.
They are southern gospel singers, and I've listened to their music. They have a talent, plus a desire in their hearts for God. And this is their full time ministry, singing for the Lord. We as a church just could not work them in, so please pray about it and reach out.

God bless,
Pastor Rick
