We invite you to worship with us this Sunday, June 14, at 11:00 a.m. as we celebrate the Third Sunday after Pentecost and continue our observance of Pride Month.
This week's scriptures remind us that God calls ordinary people to extraordinary acts of compassion. In Exodus, God invites the people into a covenant of love and purpose. Psalm 100 calls us to worship with gratitude and joy. In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus is moved by compassion and sends his disciples into the world to bring healing, hope, and good news.
Pastor Rev. Scott Rosenstein's message, "Called to Compassion, Sent in Love," will explore how Christ continues to call us to lives of kindness, justice, inclusion, and service.
As we celebrate Pride Month, we give thanks for the diversity of God's beloved community and reaffirm that all are welcome, all are valued, and all are loved.
Our Music Director, Sonia Xinyuan Hu, is enjoying a well-deserved vacation. We wish her safe travels and are grateful that Zion member and Council President Keith Konet will share his gifts at the piano this Sunday.
