Our Diocese of Cleveland’s own Bishop Ed Malesi was in Maribor today with Fr. Kosem!

The day ended with a visit to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in the Archdiocese of Maribor in Slovenia. Today we celebrate the Memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church 🌹
At the foot of the Cross, Jesus gave Mary to all of us, not just as His mother, but as our mother. From that moment on, she has never stopped caring for the Church, walking with us, praying for us, and leading us closer to her Son.
⁣
Mary was there at the beginning, praying with the apostles, waiting for the Holy Spirit, helping form the very first Christian community. And she’s still with us now, guiding us with the same quiet strength and trust in God.
Whatever you’re carrying today, you don’t carry it alone. You have a mother who sees you, loves you, and gently points you to Jesus.

Today we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, the moment the Church was born.
The same Spirit that gave the apostles courage, boldness, and faith is given to us, too. We are not meant to keep our faith to ourselves… we are sent to live it, share it, and let it transform the world.
