This month’s Men’s Fellowship was a powerful evening centered on the life-changing impact of personal testimony.
This was yet another record breaking month with 88 men in attendance!
Bob Reed’s Testimony
Bob shared how unexpectedly he was asked to speak, reminding everyone that God often places us in situations we never anticipate. He reflected on the tremendous blessings God has given him throughout his life—his family, friends, career, and faith.
He also spoke openly about the heartbreaking loss of his son after a lengthy hospital stay. While acknowledging the deep pain of that experience, Bob emphasized how God revealed His goodness through the love and support of others. He described the countless ways people ministered to his family through prayers, visits, meals, financial support, and simply being present during their grief.
One of his greatest lessons was that every person is created in the image of God. Because of that, we should see the good in others rather than judging them by appearance, background, or past mistakes. He encouraged the men to welcome everyone with love and to continue making a positive impact in the community through acts of kindness and Christlike compassion.
Benjie Morgan’s Testimony
Benjie shared his story of freedom from addiction through Jesus Christ. He reminded the men that when someone truly accepts Christ, they become “a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). He challenged the common phrase, “Once an addict, always an addict,” explaining that while addiction may have been part of his past, it is no longer his identity in Christ.
He spoke about how God used difficult seasons in his life to slow him down, get his attention, and transform his heart. Benjie encouraged anyone still struggling that God never gives up on His children. Even when we stumble, God’s grace is greater, and He is faithful to lift us back up.
His message was clear: our past does not define us—our identity is found in Jesus Christ. As our faith grows, God uses us to encourage and help others who are walking through similar struggles.
Closing Challenge
Pastor Greg concluded the evening by reading Revelation 12:11:
“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
He reminded everyone that testimonies have power. When believers share what God has done in their lives, it not only strengthens their own faith but also encourages others to overcome through Christ. Every believer has a story worth telling, and God can use that story to bring hope, healing, and encouragement to someone else.
It was an evening that reminded everyone that God works through both our greatest victories and our deepest trials, and that our testimony can become a source of hope for others.
