Most people associate the color of love with red. Most Valentines are red or pink in color.
On February 15, we wore our favorite “Valentine” color. We celebrated it but as Christians, we celebrated the color red for the blood that Christ shed on the cross to atone for our sins.
What love God has for each of us to give His Son for our transgressions.

Yall come join us for Easter service tomorrow at 8:30 if you play your cards right you can get church twice in one morning. Come join us because the tomb is EMPTY and we serve a mighty mighty God. He gave his only son to die an absolute horrible death just to save a bunch of sinners like us. He gave his only son so we can have eternal life with him.

470 messages of God’s love for each of us!! These valentines were distributed to the nursing homes and living facilities for the residents and there were some extra ones for them to pass out to their family and friends. The residents were so excited to have gotten these.

Each year we have increased in the number of valentines. This year, YSBC family showed up and showed out in obedience to God’s commandment that we love our neighbors as ourselves. It is SO exciting to be a part of such a loving church family.

February is considered the Month of Love.
The prayer service for the Cleveland community was held in EVERY neighborhood of our town.
We divided up and covered the entire community with prayer Wednesday night.

The picture with the flag is a reminder of how blessed we are to be living in a nation that was founded on God and grants us the opportunity to worship freely. God’s Word does not go void as we prayed and read God’s Word over our community.

Following the prayer service, we met back at the church for a meal of chili with all the fixings.

Please know that we, at Yale Street Baptist Church, care for each of you and invite you to join us for worship service on Sunday at 9:30 AM and Wednesday at 6:00 for our prayer service and study.

If you are hungry for God’s Word to be read and shared, this is the place to be. You don’t have to dress fancy, just bring an appetite for worship and prayer. You will be met with open arms.

January began a new year of Cleveland community outreach for YSBC! We are so excited to be able to share God’s love with our community each month.
Our prayer service in January for our community was held at the Bolivar Medical Center. We gathered together in prayer and shared our blessings by fixing snack bags for the nurses on the day and night shifts.

They give so much and this was our way of showing them how much we appreciated their service.

Following the prayer, we met back at the church for a meal of Salisbury meatballs, rice, beans rolls, dessert and great fellowship.

We plan on having services tomorrow normal times 9:30 worship 10:30 Sunday school. All are welcome come in whatever is comfortable and warm. Due to ice on the front side please enter through the fellowship door at the back of the church. If you’re comfortable walking in ice come on in the front door. I ask if you are able to walk on ice and enter through the back to not park on the clear spots leave them for people who can’t walk on ice. I don’t have the camo picture.

As the 2025 year comes to an end, we at YSBC are looking forward to how God will use us in the New Year.

We have been blessed to have been able to minister to our community in so many ways.

We served 250 cups of hot cocoa in 48 minutes at the Cleveland Christmas parade in December.

The first Sunday in December is our annual Camo day. It was a fun and blessed day.

We packed 78 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Shoebox ministry. The total was 29 more than last year.

We prepared 48 hygiene gift bags for the Chickasaw County Correctional Facility. We gifted Parchman last year. The inmates are thirsty for God’s grace and mercy and we are honored to be able to give them the chance to receive Christ as their Savior through our prayers and gifts.

We erected two rock “altars” as a reminder of ALL that God has done in and through YSBC. If you drive by the church and notice them and are curious about the work of God, stop by because we love to tell our stories.

The Sunday before Christmas we had our annual ugly sweater day. There were many laughs shared as we walked through the door to the church. YES!! You can have fun and laugh at church!

We prayed over 12 special places in our town, one different place each month. Our whole town was prayed over, including all the neighborhoods. Following our community prayer service, we would meet back at the fellowship hall for food and fellowship.

We gave out over a 100 valentines at the nursing homes in February.
During the government shutdown, we loved on several families with boxes of food.

Most excitedly, we called Bro. Trent Chouccoli as our pastor. We are sooo excited to have him, his wife-Casey and daughter—Elizabeth as part of our YSBC family. We are looking forward to supporting him and working alongside him as he leads us under the leadership of God.

We are claiming that 2026 will be a year of growth in number and in spirit as we continue to serve God in our community.
