☀️ TOMORROW’S JUMU’AH: THE SUN — A SERVANT THAT NEVER DISOBEYS ITS LORD

Every morning it rises. Every evening it sets. It never arrives late. It never refuses its command. The sun submits completely to Allah.

But what about us?

We witness the sun every day—but how often do we stop and recognize it as one of the عظيمة signs of Allah?

Allah says:

وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ

“And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.” [Yā-Sīn 36:38]

Tomorrow, we’ll look at the sun we see every day—its obedience to Allah, what it teaches us about submission, and what will happen to it when this world comes to an end.

Uqbah Mosque Foundation is excited to welcome the community for our Eid Al-Adha Prayers this Wednesday, May 27th, in shaa Allah.

As our community continues to grow, and due to limited space, we will be holding 2 Eid prayers this year to better accommodate everyone and make things easier for the community.

🕗 First Eid Prayer: 8:00 AM
🎤 Khutbah by Abu Humayd Jamal ibn Luqman

🕙 Second Eid Prayer: 10:00 AM
🎤 Khutbah by Abu Ibrahim Cheikh Mbow

🥐 Light refreshments and continental breakfast will be served after the first Eid prayer, in shaa Allah.

🚗 Arranged parking will be available to help with organization and flow. Please follow the directions of the parking and security volunteers.

⚠️ Please arrive on time. If the first Eid prayer reaches capacity, attendees will need to wait for the second Eid prayer.
