I have come to realize that some people have become content in their valleys. They are no longer trying to get out, they look for excuses to stay where they are. It saddens me that they have given up on themselves. All they want to do is compare themselves to somebody that’s going to church. I’ve heard this “ Well if so and so is going to make heaven then I’m sure I’ll be there.” I hope the person they are talking about does go to heaven but just because their name is on a church roll doesn’t mean it’s in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Not putting anyone one down, it’s just a fact. The only thing we should measure ourselves by is the scripture. Am I obeying the scripture? Have I got my eyes on the right person? Jesus is the only one we should be having our eyes on. Please, when a preacher or a pastor or an evangelist invites you to church it’s not to hear them preach! It’s not for you to put your money in a offering plate. It’s because there are truly a lot of good people that are concerned for you. Maybe they think you need encouraging! Maybe they are trying to get you out of that valley that you have grown comfortable in. It just could be that they are obeying the scriptures and going out to the hedges and highways trying to compel people to come to church. I’m afraid there will be a lot of hurt people in hell because they chose to be hurt rather than healed. They chose to be bitter instead of forgiving. Just random thoughts this morning. Wasn’t written to start an argument but just maybe to provoke someone to get out of their valley. God Bless!
