Evangelizing, Establishing, Edifying & Encouraging local churches in Northeast Ohio. It is not the skill and efforts of a select few that will accomplish this.

Current plants Heritage Baptist Church of Willoughby, Heritage Baptist Church of Mentor, Bethesda Baptist Church. Equipping local churches to glorify God by fulfilling every aspect (Matthew 28:18-20) and area (Acts 1:8 of the Great Commission through the greatest commandments (Matthew 22:36-40). Our burden is to participate with and organize local churches in the cooperative efforts of strengtheni

ng local churches and together establishing new churches in areas where there is a need. In short, working in the Power of the Holy Spirit by methods practiced and published in the New Testament to the end that there would be no one outside the reach of a true New Testament Church. It is the primary directive to identify clearly the needs and to organize the efforts for success by identifying those with certain skill sets within the family of God that would lend their efforts, expertise, gifts, and grace to assist local churches in accomplishing a variety of very needed projects and ministry ventures. We strive to Encourage, Evangelize, Establish, and Edify the body of Christ through hands on church helps and church planting efforts.

What a tremendous day!
Our sending church came out in force to help us stuff John and Romans for Bethesda Baptist Church’s Grand Opening service on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

With all of the helping hands, from 5 different churches, we were able to stuff 6,000 bags in under two hours! Praise the Lord!

While we were working, Pastor Jason Urchek and his family were hosting two churches that have come out to the eastside to help canvass and place the John and Roman’s on the doors of homes in Willowick. Cleveland Baptist was a big blessing again by sending a bus and driver out to take the group around for the John and Roman’s canvassing.

HUGE thank you to God for providing the laborers to help with the canvassing and preparation today! Thank you also to the many folks that gave of their time on a Saturday to assist a new church plant in Willowick, Ohio! We are grateful!

Today, churches across the Great Lakes will join in prayer for church planting! We have been praying for 30 new church plants in our region by 2030. Since 2020, we have seen 15 active plants, 7 launching within the next year, and more on the way!

Pray for the active plants to grow and continue.
Pray for the launching plants to gain momentum and start strong.
Pray for the planned plants to find the places and people they need.
Pray for the needed plants to take us to 30 and beyond!

Church Planting intern Clayton Newberry is preaching this morning.

He joined the Church Planting team this summer after graduating from West Coast Baptist College.
He has been helping Pastor Jason Urchek and will be with the newest church plant Bethesda Baptist Church as they launch on October 4th at 11:30 AM.

Back in January, Pastor Jason Urchek was able to present at the Heartland Baptist Bible College National Church Planters Conference. After he gave his testimony and shared the burden to start a bus ministry in the area where he will soon plant a new church, a church said they would donate a bus to him. That church was Central Baptist Church.

Fast forward to this week, the bus has been serviced and cleaned and it has completed its 1,409 mile cross-country journey from Gillette, Wyoming to Willowick, Ohio!

Please pray for this new church, Bethesda Baptist Church🙏🏻. Pray for the children and families that will be reached by the Urchek family. 🙌🏼
