Pastors, Sunday school teachers, group leaders, and ministry leaders: the health of your service is connected to the health of your life with Jesus.

Three rhythms can help protect that life:

1. Spend time with Jesus before preparing something for others.
2. Protect one restorative rhythm.
3. Ask for help before exhaustion becomes a crisis.

In John 15:5, Jesus teaches that lasting fruit grows from abiding in Him. We do not have to lead from an empty place or prove our faithfulness through constant depletion.

Encourage a ministry leader today. Send a note, make a call, pray for them, or offer practical help.

September gives us a chance to return to the relationships and rhythms that help faith take root...gathering consistently, opening Scripture, praying for one another, and learning to follow Jesus together.

Spiritual growth is not meant to be a solitary project. Hebrews 10:24–25 calls believers to keep meeting together and to stir one another toward love and good works. Faithful community gives us room to encourage, challenge, carry, and celebrate one another.

Where are you finding Christian community this fall?

Alright youth leaders… 👀

Our official lodging partners are offering exclusive Winter Renewal discount rates, but rooms won’t last forever. The earlier you reserve, the better your chances of getting your favorite hotel or cabin before it fills up.

‼️‼️Go ahead and grab a few rooms now—even if your group is still growing. You can always adjust later, but you can’t reserve rooms that are already gone!

💻Head over to winterrenewal.com and click “Where to Stay” to browse all of the discounted lodging options.

See you in January! 🔥🙌

Let’s enter September with prayerful intention. As a church or ministry team, choose:

1. One discipleship rhythm to practice consistently.
2. One developing leader to encourage and equip.
3. One community need to notice and serve.

Write the three commitments down. Pray over them. Name who will lead each next step. Then check in again at the end of September.

Our prayer comes from Colossians 1:9–10: that God would give His people wisdom and understanding so we may live in a way that pleases Him and bears fruit in every good work.

Save this post and take the challenge to your next leadership meeting.

Leadership development does not have to begin with a large program. It can begin with one person, one ministry role, and four intentional weeks.

Week 1 - Observe: Let them see the role and understand its purpose.
Week 2 - Assist: Give them a clear, low-risk responsibility.
Week 3 - Lead a portion: Let them prepare and lead one part.
Week 4 - Lead with support: Step back while remaining available.

Finish the month with honest feedback, meaningful encouragement, and a clear next opportunity.

Ephesians 4:11–12 reminds leaders that ministry includes equipping God’s people for works of service.

Who is one developing leader you can invite into the work this month?

Your church’s impact is not measured only by Sunday attendance. A smaller congregation can know people deeply, notice needs quickly, raise leaders personally, serve its community faithfully, and make disciples one relationship at a time.

In 1 Corinthians 3:6–7, Paul reminds us that people plant and water, but God gives the growth. Our calling is faithfulness; the harvest belongs to Him.

Tell us one strength God has given your congregation. Your answer may encourage another church today.

To the pastors, spouses, ministry directors, bivocational leaders, teachers, musicians, youth workers, children’s workers, and faithful volunteers who keep showing up....your service matters.

Some weeks the fruit is visible. Other weeks faithfulness looks like preparing, praying, calling, cleaning, listening, and serving when few people notice.

God sees the work offered to Him. Galatians 6:9 encourages us not to grow weary in doing good, because faithful sowing has a harvest in its proper season.

Churches, tag or thank a leader whose steady faithfulness has strengthened you.
