SEEK FIRST — One Last Monday

Yesterday was Celebration Sunday, so there isn’t a new weekly prayer theme to introduce.
Instead, today is a good day for one final Facebook prayer:
Lord, thank You for these forty days of seeking You together. Thank You for the prayers You answered, the hearts You stirred, and even the work You began that we cannot yet see.
Don’t let SEEK FIRST become something we finished. Let seeking You first become who we are. As we move into what comes next, keep us praying, listening, trusting—and ready to follow. Amen.

🙏 DAY 40 — LET’S CELEBRATE! 🙏

For 40 days, we have prayed together.

We prayed, “Begin with me.”
We prayed for God to unite us.
We asked Him to open our eyes.
We prayed for courage.
We asked God to raise up workers.

And today, we celebrate. ❤️

Not because every prayer has been answered the way we expected.
Not because every problem has disappeared.
But because for 40 days, we intentionally turned our hearts toward God—and trusted Him with the future of our church.

Day 40 isn't the finish line.

It is a reminder that prayer was never meant to be a 40-day program. It is meant to become part of who we are.

So this morning, come celebrate with us.

Come thankful.
Come hopeful.
Come expecting God to continue the work He has begun.

SEEK FIRST — Midweek Prayer Reminder

Today is your final Thursday reminder for the SEEK FIRST prayer journey. With Celebration Sunday coming August 30, this one should feel less like another assignment and more like an invitation to look back and give thanks.

Before we celebrate Sunday, take 15 minutes today and remember.
Where have you seen God at work during these weeks of prayer? Has He changed something in you? Opened your eyes to someone? Given you courage? Put a new burden on your heart?

Then pray:
“Lord, thank You for what You have already done. Help us not to end a prayer campaign, but to become a praying church. Keep us seeking You first—and lead us into whatever comes next.”

And Sunday, we celebrate: LOOK WHAT GOD HAS DONE.

Since this is the final week leading to Celebration Sunday, August 30, today’s prayer can gather the whole SEEK FIRST journey into one final act of trust:
Lord, Do What Only You Can Do
Lord, we began this journey asking You to begin with us. We prayed for unity. We asked You to open our eyes, give us courage, and raise up workers.
Now we place Charleston Church and its future in Your hands.
Do what our programs cannot do.
Reach people we cannot reach.
Open doors we cannot open.
Restore what we cannot restore.
Bring new life where only You can give life.
And Lord, when You move, give us enough faith to recognize it and enough courage to follow.
We have sought You first. Now help us trust You with what comes next.
Amen.

This is the final week of SEEK FIRST: “Lord, Do What Only You Can Do.”

After weeks of asking God to begin with us, unite us, open our eyes, give us courage, and raise up workers, this week brings the congregation to a beautiful place: surrender.

We have prayed. We have listened. We have asked God to change us. Now we trust Him with what comes next.

“Lord, do what only You can do—in me, in our church, and in our community. And when You move, make us ready to follow.”

Sunday, August 30, is Celebration Sunday—a day to look back, give thanks, and recognize what God has done during this journey.
