In her powerful sermon “NOT ON MY WATCH,”Lady LaToya reminds us to guard the Word of God in our hearts and refuse to let life’s challenges, delays, or disappointments weaken our faith.

Through Mark 4:15, we are challenged to stand firm in what God has spoken, trust Him beyond what we see, and remain committed to prayer, obedience, and intercession. No matter what comes our way, we must protect our faith and refuse to let the enemy steal what God has planted within us.

Our declaration is simple: Not on my watch!**

Today, on Clergy Appreciation Day, we thank God for our pastor, Pastor Chris!

Pastor, we want you to know that your love, prayers, and labor mean so much to the New Morning Star family. Thank you for teaching us the Word, challenging us to grow, and encouraging us to go deeper in our relationship with God. Thank you for taking your calling seriously and caring about the people God has entrusted to you.

We know that being a pastor carries responsibilities that everyone may not see. Please know that we appreciate you beyond the pulpit, and we do not take your presence or your service for granted.

As you continue to pour into us, we pray that God strengthens you, refreshes your spirit, and surrounds you with love and support. We pray that you experience the same care that you give to others.

We love you, Pastor Chris, and we are grateful to walk this journey with you. Happy Clergy Appreciation Day!

If you are waiting on God for something, these notes are worth saving.

In “The Process of Patience,” Pastor Chris reminded us that some promises are inherited through faith and patience. We can believe God and still become frustrated with His timing, but impatience can push us to settle for something He never intended for us to have.

As you read through these notes, ask yourself: Am I only waiting, or am I waiting well?

Save these notes, study them, and share them with someone who needs encouragement while they wait.

Yesterday, Pastor Chris continued the “Go Deeper” series with a powerful message from Hebrews 6:12 titled “The Process of Patience.”

We live in a world that wants everything right now, but Pastor Chris reminded us that there are some things in the Kingdom that only accept one form of payment: patience.

One statement stayed with us: “Faith says it’s coming. Patience says, ‘I won’t quit until it gets here.’”

The waiting season is not always punishment. Sometimes God is preparing us to handle the very thing we have been praying for. Impatience can cause us to settle for something God never intended for us to have, but patience protects us from unnecessary pain.

We were challenged to examine more than whether we are waiting. We must also examine how we are waiting. Patience is not just that you waited. It is how you wait.

People flooded the altar yesterday to repent and ask God to help them with patience.

If you are waiting on God, do not quit. He is preparing the promise, but He is also preparing you.

How much different would your life be if you prayed about everything?

These notes from “’Bout That Life” are a reminder to put the Word into practice this week. You don’t have to have fancy words. Be sincere, talk to God, make room to listen, and bring Him what you’ve been trying to carry by yourself.

Save these notes and use them when you pray. Let’s be ’bout that prayer life.

Pastor Chris preached “’Bout That Life” from Matthew 6:9–13, and his message brought us back to something we all need: prayer.

Life gets busy. We carry burdens, make decisions, and sometimes try to handle everything before we stop and talk to God. But Jesus taught us to pray. We can bring Him our needs, ask for forgiveness, and trust Him to lead us one day at a time.

This week, let’s make room to pray. Before the worry takes over, before we try to figure it all out, let’s go to our Father.

What a reminder for us. 🙏🏽
