⚠️ Due to the federal government shutdown, SNAP food assistance is expected end on Oct. 31. As of this writing, no SNAP benefits will be distributed in November to Cleveland Heights residents who have received food assistance. In the absence of this critical service, local food assistance programs are doing all they can to fill in. Here is a resource list of local food assistance organizations and food drives in Cleveland Heights and the surrounding area. Share other resources that you know of in the comments below.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION LOCATIONS:
In November, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank will distribute food at the following Cuyahoga County Library locations and dates:
- Tue, Nov 4 at the Parma-Snow Branch
- Wed, Nov 5 at the Garfield Heights Branch
- Thu, Nov 13 at the Warrensville Heights Branch
- Tue, Nov 25 at the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch

What SNAP Recipients Can Do Right Now:
1. Keep your EBT Card active – Any funds already on there can be used.
2. Continue to apply or renew for benefits – Cuyahoga Job and Family Services
will still process applications.
3. Check for updates – Watch your mail for notices from the county once
funding resumes and regularly visit
