Meet Ezekiel the Leopard.

This painting is more than art it was my fight back.

In one of the hardest seasons of my life, after betrayal had left me feeling empty, I asked God, “What do I do? I have nothing left. It’s just You and me.”

As I worshiped, I placed a blank canvas on the table and began to paint. I had no plan and no idea what was coming to life beneath the brush.

This was the result.

At the time, I didn’t understand what God was doing. But within months, Ezekiel became the beginning of something much bigger. From this painting came the characters that are now Faithful Animal Friends stories created to help families gather together, grow in faith, and have meaningful conversations.

What I thought was emptiness, God turned into purpose.

That’s why I named this painting Ezekiel.

Just as God spoke life to the valley of dry bones, He spoke life into me. He took what felt like nothing and created something that will, Lord willing, point the next generation to Him.

“I will put My Spirit in you and you will live… Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it,” declares the Lord.
— Ezekiel 37:14

Why Is Patience So Important for Children?

Patience isn’t something children are born with—it’s a skill that grows over time through practice, encouragement, and example.

When children learn patience, they begin to:
💙 Handle disappointment with a calmer heart.
💙 Take turns and cooperate with others.
💙 Keep trying even when something is difficult.
💙 Think before they react.
💙 Trust that some of life’s best blessings take time.

As parents, we can help develop patience by slowing down, reading together, praying together, and reminding our children that God is always working—even when we can’t see it yet.

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” — James 1:4

Just like a seed doesn’t grow overnight, God often grows our character one day at a time. 🌿

Here are 5 fun ways to help children grow in patience:

🍓 Wait for fruit to ripen before eating it.
📚 Take turns reading a favorite story.
🧩 Finish a puzzle one piece at a time.
🌼 Plant a seed and watch it grow each day.
💛 Count to 10 before reacting when something doesn’t go your way.

Patience teaches children that the best things often take time. It helps them build self-control, kindness, confidence, and resilience—skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives.

Just like a tiny seed doesn’t become a beautiful plant overnight, our character grows little by little every day.
