Our last Canterbury gathering of the semester was so much fun! We made Advent wreaths, practiced our Gospel presentation for the children's service on Sunday, and rehearsed singing 0 come, O come, Emmanuel. It's gonna sound just like this!

Over the last two months, Canterbury has been really active! We continued to enjoy meals together and have fun in fellowship. We’ve made prayer beads, heard from CEDC on their mission in Haiti, carved pumpkins, and much more. Also, we hosted an overnight retreat with and had tons of fun at Denver Downs.

Join us tonight for a special guest, Lauren Wainwright, as she discusses our role as college students and Christians.

Please continue to join us on Monday nights at 6 PM for dinner and at 7 PM for fellowship.

Come for food, stay for friendships!

Each week during the school year, we share meals and talk about what God is doing in our lives. At Canterbury, there’s room for curiosity, doubt, deep faith, and everything in between. You are truly welcome here. If you’re unsure whether you belong, the answer is yes. Reach out to Rev. Suz Cate, Rector at Holy Trinity, or Carter Senf, Peer Minister and Clemson student, if you want to learn more or get connected.

Come for the food, stay for the friendships.

Communing with God: Eucharist Part 2

Thank you for your patience, everyone! After a short delay, we’re excited to share the final part of our deep dive into the Eucharist. Today, we’re exploring the Liturgy of the Table—the heart of the service where everything comes together. From offering our lives to receiving the bread and wine, each step draws us closer to God and one another.

This is the final part of our Eucharist sub-series, but the journey doesn’t end here! Stay tuned as we continue to explore the richness of the Episcopal faith. Curious? Have questions? Join us at Canterbury—we’d love to walk this path with you!

Speaking with God: The Liturgy of the Word

Before we approach the altar, we gather to listen and pray. In the first half of the Eucharist, known as the Liturgy of the Word, we come together to hear scripture, offer prayers and thanksgivings, and reaffirm our common faith. Find out how each element draws us deeper into the heart of worship!

Stay tuned for the next post where we explore the second half of the Holy Eucharist!
