A very fitting post from Emily Dawn Carver

The change is hard. Pop preached at Clemson Church of God for 44 years. As of 9/1/25, it is no longer Clemson Church of God. Sometimes it's hard to understand God's plan. Sometimes we feel left out of the decision making. But at the end of the day, what matters is what God's decision is. We have prayed for healing, for growth, for help. And God has sent that in a way that came as a bit of a surprise. As we were cleaning out some things from the church on Saturday, I found this bracelet tucked up in a cabinet. And I feel like it's a message for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future".

So hold on Church, God has something planned, and I'm so happy to be apart of his plans, in whatever way he uses me.

If you go with God, he'll go with you.

Please remember our church family. We lost our precious pastor this week. He was a great man of God. His messages, teachings, prayers, advice, presence, and counsel will be missed.

Someone has said that that who ever replaces him has big shoes to fill but all we can say is….they don’t make those shoes anymore.

As our church family rallies around Pastor Terry Carver during his battle with cancer, we appreciate your thoughtful prayers and consideration. He's currently facing some complications in ICU at GMH after his third treatment. We're trusting in the Lord's goodness and healing power, and we'd be grateful if you would join us in praying for his recovery and renewed strength.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the snow and is safe and warm. Just want to let you know Clemson Church of God will only have one service tomorrow, Sunday, January 12 at 1pm. We hope everyone is able to join to worship and praise our Lord. Be safe! And remember, Jesus loves you.
