A metal that enters a FORGE in the hands of a blacksmith will not be the same when it comes out, just as a person that commits their life to following JESUS CHRIST and has encountered the HOLY SPIRIT will never be the same as they were before. New Creation. New Birth. New Life. Make no mistake, at FORGE, the HOLY SPIRIT is the blacksmith, and our purpose is to act as hot coals and prepare the stud
ents to be shaped, tempered and folded by the HOLY SPIRIT in CHRIST. MISSION:
Forging students into disciples of Jesus by pouring a Christ-centered foundation and tempering their faith by means of outreach, service and mentorship. STRATEGY:
To be INVITING to students because of our confidence in Christ, challenge in growth, and compassion for people. To INSPIRE students to be changed by the Holy Spirit by unashamedly confronting the ways of the "flesh" and unequivocally embracing the ways of Christ. To INVOKE that change into the daily lives of our students, both inside and outside the church building. WE BELIEVE:
God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Though He created us, sin separated us from God, death worked against us to keep us apart, and there was no way for us to get back to the Father. However, by the sacrificial death, burial and resurrections of the Lamb of God known as Jesus Christ, we were given the means to be brought back into right standing with God. That salvation is obtainable only by the means of believing and following Jesus Christ. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the father, fully man, fully God, and has sent the Holy Spirit to guide us in following Him to the Father. We follow Jesus, and the best resource we have to understand Him is the Bible, which was written by men but inspired by the Holy Spirit, to stand as a beacon of Truth and light in a world of confusion and darkness. Those who follow him are the Church, and the governing commandment from Jesus to His church is to love God with everything and love people as Christ has loved us.
1 PETER 1:7 ...so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
