A Word From The Lord Through Pastor Richard Goodwill - -

Darkness still fills this Tuesday morning but dawn's light is near just as God is near. "For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people." (NIV). The greatest danger to us is never the chaos happening around us; it is the unbelief, despair and fear that takes root in us. When the noise of the world gets too loud—filled with brokenness, division, uncertainty, and fear—it is easy to focus on that instead of Jesus who calms the storms of chaos. So, if confusion, disorder, dissension doesn't come from God in the church and in our daily lives where then does it come from? We all know the answer...from our sinful nature and the ever-present devil who loves nothing more than to stir the pot wherever God's children are----relationships, families and yes, the church. Our sinful tendencies work right into the devil's plan so don’t fall for his deception but be on guard, stay close to Jesus in prayer and devotions so we can send the devil packing with God's Word.

Good morning all who believe in Jesus, and those who might not know Him. I was outside yesterday afternoon, and our next-door neighbor was in his driveway. Perfect opportunity to strike up a conversation which we do often. He mentioned what was going on in Europe with the riots and chaos. He is a man of faith, though we differ on a couple points. The conversation shifted to what Jesus said would be signs of his return. Going further we talked about what the church that would be us, should be focused on. What do you think you, as a believer, should be doing today and really every day? I’m pretty sure we should be living for Jesus. Jesus said in John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free". Free, sins forgiven, debt paid, no guilt. Jesus set you free from sin and the Holy Spirit blessed you with faith to trust in Jesus as Savior. Ok, all that done for you…so you can go be the best husband, wife, children, the best plumber, teacher, carpenter, computer tech, whatever your skill be the best living to glorify God be living a life that is a witness to your faith. Sharing the blessed hope, peace, joy you have as one forgiven and heaven bound. Peter said, “be prepared at all times, when asked, to give an account of the hope you have”. Your life is a living testimony of Jesus. Now, that’s what we can do until Jesus returns. Busy being a living witness by how we live and how we respond to life’s difficulties and challenges. "The Lord will keep you from all harm; he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. " Ps. 121:7-8 . To God be the glory.
