Participation Matters! Thank you to everyone who has already participated in the 2026 Catholic Ministry Appeal.

United in Faith. Courageous in Mission. Catholics across the Diocese of Saint Petersburg come together through the Catholic Ministry Appeal to courageously live the Gospel. United as one diocesan family, we bring Christ’s hope, mercy, and healing to communities throughout our five counties.

Today we celebrate the feast day of Saint John Paul II, pope and beloved shepherd of the Church. 🙏
Known for his deep love for Christ, his devotion to the Blessed Mother and his unwavering defense of human dignity, Saint John Paul II inspired millions of people around the world to live out their faith with courage. Throughout his papacy, he encouraged the faithful to place their trust in God and reminded the world of the transforming power of Christ’s love. His life reminds us that no matter our fears or challenges, God calls each of us to live with faith, hope and courage.
How can you invite Christ to lead you beyond your fears and into a deeper life of faith today?

Please join us in praying for our as they continue to discern God's call with faith, courage, and trust.
Today, we give thanks for Mark and his faithful "yes" to the Lord. May God continue to guide and strengthen him on his journey toward the priesthood.
Let us pray 🙏
God our Father, bless all those whom You are calling to serve Your Church. Grant our seminarians the wisdom to hear Your voice, the courage to follow Your will, and the grace to grow in holiness each day. May they be faithful disciples and joyful witnesses of Your love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A legacy that opens doors ❤️

For Peter and Karen Brine, Catholic education made a lasting impact on their lives, and they’re passionate about making that same opportunity possible for others. Through the Lakota Foundation Fund, this couple is helping families access Catholic education and giving students the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive in their faith.

Priests' Convocation 2026

Recently, priests from across the Diocese of Saint Petersburg gathered with Bishop Gregory L. Parkes for their annual convocation, a special time set aside to step away from the busyness of ministry and renew their hearts in Christ.
How many priests do you know in this photo? If you spot a familiar face, please say the prayer below for them, for our seminarians, and for vocations in our Diocese and throughout the world.
Please join us as we pray 🙏: "May the Lord continue to strengthen them, renew their spirits and draw them ever closer to Himself, so that they may joyfully shepherd the people entrusted to their care. Amen."

Excerpt from Sunday's Gospel, the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time:

"Tell us, then, what is your opinion: Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar or not?" Knowing their malice, Jesus said, "Why are you testing me, you hypocrites? Show me the coin that pays the census tax." Then they handed him the Roman coin. He said to them, "Whose image is this and whose inscription?" They replied, "Caesar's." At that he said to them, "Then repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God." (Mt 22:18-21).
