With deep sadness, we share the news that Fr. Amaro’s father, Leoncio Vasquez, passed away unexpectedly earlier this morning in Peru. Fr. Amaro is traveling now to be with his family during this difficult time.

We ask our parish family to please keep Leoncio, Fr. Amaro, and the entire Vasquez-Ortiz family in your prayers as they mourn this tremendous loss.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Please join us in surrounding Fr. Amaro and his family with our prayers, love, and support during this time.

Con profunda tristeza, compartimos la noticia de que el padre de Fr. Amaro, Leoncio Vásquez, falleció inesperadamente a primera hora de esta mañana en Perú. Fr. Amaro se encuentra viajando en este momento para estar junto a su familia durante este difícil trance.

During these nine days, we ask the Holy Spirit to renew our hearts and fill us with His seven gifts: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. Join our parish community in prayer as we pray the Novena to the Holy Spirit approximately 10 minutes before each Mass.

DAY 9 — Pray for Renewal in the Holy Spirit
Today we pray for a renewed outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our hearts, our families, and the whole Church.
⁣
Prayer:
Father, through Jesus Your Son, You sent the Paraclete to be at our side. Fill our hearts with the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Amen.
