A 16-year old boy was forced to perform illegal s*x acts by this husband/wife while he was staying over at their Riverview home. The sheriff's office said the minor and the couple already knew each other before the incident happened in April.

Children MUST know how to recognize red flags when they are being groomed by friends of the family, neighbors or other trusted authority figures. Sadly, statistics show that children are most often abused by someone they know.

Stop The Movement educates and supports kids in knowing their worth and self-esteem, listening to their gut, recognizing a potential red flag situation BEFORE the abuse happens and how crucial it is to talk with a trusted adult. And most importantly, eliminating shame if an adult tries to groom them or has already hurt them - it is NEVER their fault!

In just one week, U.S. Coast Guard members rescued 1,007 Floridians in distress following .

These numbers reflect the efforts and resources of multiple Coast Guard districts in both U.S. Coast Guard Atlantic Area Command and U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Area Command that surged into Florida to perform vital operations, logistics, personnel support and command & control functions.

The Area Command Post (ACP) is transitioning into a Crisis Action Team (CAT) to continue to provide Coast Guard services for the ongoing recovery and reconstitution efforts in the most heavily impacted areas.

Many of us are Florida residents, and we are here to see the job through alongside our federal, state and local partners.
