Hello sangha, I would like to thank everyone that walked through the doors of this Dharma center. We decided to close the center. I will still be around for any guidance that's needed because you have put your trust in me for advice and I am truly grateful. I will be attending Rissho Kosei Kai of Ft Myers and our online sangha group. They have a great leader there and I look forward to the continued lessons that The Buddha has for me there. Hello everyone, come join us Sunday, Oct. 8 for services and a visit from our ministry Rev Nick Ozuna. At 1:30 there will be an Interfaith talk on a Buddhist talk of Peace given by Lonni Keiko Fain. Hello!

I'd just like to remind everyone that we do hold the same hours for Sunday service through autumn and winter. We begin service on Sunday afternoons at 4pm.

To those who have yet to visit us, Sunday service is open to everyone. We recite passages from the Lotus Sutra as a group, have a brief meditation, and share teachings from Lotus Sutra. After, we hold Hoza, which is a practice of listening to each other's joys, concerns and sorrows in order to develop more insight into applying Buddhist teachings to our daily lives.

Tomorrow, I will bring sweet treats for everyone to enjoy after service. See you there!

It's amazing that June is nearly over, isn't it?

This month, Rev. Nick visited us for Sunday service. While he was here, we instated Lonni Fain's gohonzon (she had been present in Tokyo, Japan to receive!); and held a memorial for the 17th year anniversary of my grandfather's passing.

Rissho Kosei Kai Buddhist Center of Tampa Bay still holds services at normal times during the summer months. We have Sunday Service at 4:00pm; and Buddhist Studies on Thursday nights at 7:00pm.
