Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month our team of dedicated volunteers and staff gather to help serve those facing food insecurity.

This week we served 164 families and 525 individuals.

Today our hearts truly sing with gratitude for the most amazing donation to The Salvation Army Clearwater School of Music.

A generous donor has graciously gifted us a Mason Hamlin Parlor Grand Piano that is over 100 years old and was lovingly restored in 1989. It has been well cared for since, having been tuned twice a year for the past 37 years.

What a blessing for our students! May they find joy in learning to play for years to come.

We are deeply moved by her generosity and appreciative of the blessings bestowed. A simple thank you is not enough.

Thank you to all of our volunteers from GFWC Clearwater Community Woman's Club and MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Cares that helped at this week's Mobile Food Pantry.

Together we served 165 families and 489 individuals helping them to alleviate food insecurity.

We greatly appreciate you giving of your time and energy to be of service to others.

We join our fellow Salvation Army Corps in mourning our dear friend Dolly Parton. She began working with the Army at the age of 18 when she couldn't afford a trip home for Christmas, she found The Salvation Army and helped serve meals that Christmas Day. She maintained a relationship with The Salvation Army throughout her life, having donated over a million dollars to help our mission. She believed others were just as important as she was. Her devotion to others, whether through The Salvation Army, her Imagination Library Reading program, or her funding college educations for her employees at Dollywood, was indeed an example of John 13:14 -
“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
