Reminder! VBS next week!

2026 Vacation Bible School
June 1-3, 2026
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

**Due to construction at FPC, the shortened VBS this year will be held at American Lutheran Church. Students will not eat lunch at VBS and we will not do the t-shirt craft.

Sponsored by American Lutheran Church, First Presbyterian Church, Hamlin Reformed Church , & St. Francis St. John's Catholic Church - Castlewood, SD Bemis-Holland Presbyterian Church

Students entering preschool - 6th grade in the Fall of 2026 are welcome to attend. Invite your family and friends! We will have sign-up sheets to register & volunteer located at each church, or contact Laura Ries (880-0168 [email protected]), April Brouwer (880-5403 [email protected]) or Ruth Fodness (520-4035 [email protected]) if you can volunteer/help during the week and to register students that plan to attend.

Join us for worship on Sunday, May 17, as we welcome David Niemann with The Gideons International as our guest speaker.

Founded in 1899, The Gideons International is an association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through personal witness and the distribution of God’s Word around the world. Many recognize them for placing Bibles in hotel rooms, but their ministry also reaches schools, hospitals, military personnel, first responders, shelters, and many other places where people are searching for hope.

Their mission is “to win others for the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service, personal testimony, and sharing God’s Word.”

We invite you to join us for this special service and to learn more about the impact this ministry continues to have across the world.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, spiritual mothers, and mother figures in our lives. Today we give thanks for the love, strength, compassion, and faith you share so generously each day.
We hold close in prayer those for whom this day may be difficult — those grieving, longing, remembering, or carrying heavy hearts. May God’s comfort and peace surround you.
