Please help the KC Council 7898 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in our efforts to support Pro-Life organizations in our area.

Empty baby bottle banks were given to families after Mass on Mother’s Day weekend. Please be generous and fill these banks with any loose change, checks, or paper money that you wish.

For those that did not get a baby bottle Mother’s Day Weekend, and would like one to donate, they can contact Jeff Badger at [email protected] or 319-404-4004.

Return the Baby Bottle Banks on Father’s Day weekend
(Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st).

100% of all donations will be given to Pro-Life organizations in our area. Thank you!

Mary’s Meals...Did You Know?

Mary’s meals is a global charity providing life changing school meals to areas suffering from extreme poverty and malnutrition.

📍Mary’s Meals is named after Mary, the mother of Jesus and is currently providing meals (vitamin enriched porridge) to over 3 million children in their place of learning.
📍The porridge is cooked by local volunteers in the communities being served and local grains are used when possible.
📍The meals improve school attendance, reduce hunger and starvation, and allow children to focus and learn, boosting their opportunities for the future. Just the promise of one bowl of fortified porridge encourages children to attend and stay in school.
📍For the cost of only $25.20 one child can be fed for an entire year!

The Social Justice Committee will be accepting donations for Mary’s Meals throughout the month of May. Our goal is to feed 200 children.

If you can help, checks can be made out to St. Patrick’s with “Mary’s Meals” written in memo line. Or you can donate securely on our website at: https://stpatrickcommunity.com/donate and under collection, select: Mary's Meals.

If you are unable to help financially, please keep the Mary’s Meals mission in your prayers.

On Pentecost morning, the Holy Spirit descended on Mary and the apostles like a roaring wind and tongues of fire. They walked out of the Upper Room and preached and three thousand were baptized that day. The Church was born.

Tonight, before the great Solemnity, light a candle. Open the Scriptures. Pray the ancient invocation:
"Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created. And you shall renew the face of the earth."
