Today we remember Mother Teresa, a woman who understood what the abortion industry refuses to admit:

Abortion doesn't liberate women. It harms them.

Every abortion ends a baby's life and wounds a mother's heart. That's not empowerment. That's exploitation.

Mother Teresa spent her life defending the defenseless and loving the unloved. Her legacy reminds us that real compassion protects life. It doesn't destroy it.

Welcome our new Bishop, Lyndol Lloyd. He was just elected to Episcopal Area 4 -- North Alabama, Thailand, MidSouth, West Plains, Western Pacific, Northeast Nigeria.

Lyndol Loyd is a lifelong Methodist shaped by deep roots in Wheeler, Texas, where his faith was nurtured through Sunday School, youth programs, and formative experiences at Ceta Canyon Camp.

Lyndol discerned a call to ordained ministry while attending Texas Tech University and actively participating in the Wesley Foundation, serving in student leadership and engaging in local and global mission work. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies, he continued his ministry formation at Asbury Theological Seminary, where he served as student body president and representative to the board of trustees, graduating with a Master of Divinity in 1993 and later a Doctor of Ministry in 2000.

Lyndol has spent his ministry investing in the next generation and pioneering new expressions of the church. He began in campus ministry in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, while also pastoring a local congregation, receiving the Francis Asbury Award for excellence in campus ministry. In 1998 he planted Mountainside Church in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, guiding it from launch to a thriving congregation marked by strong stewardship and outreach to the unchurched.

In 2005, Lyndol planted LifeSong Church in Orlando, Florida, leading the congregation through challenging economic conditions to establish a lasting ministry presence. He also provided leadership beyond the local church, chairing the Florida Conference Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry and mentoring campus pastors and church planters.

Since 2016, Lyndol has served as lead pastor of LakeRidge Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas, where he faithfully led the congregation through disaffiliation and into the GMC. He also helped form the West Plains Conference and serves on the board of Asbury Theological Seminary. Lyndol’s spiritual gifts are faith, preaching and administration.

Lyndol and his wife, Joni, have been married 32 years and have two adult daughters, a son-in-law, and one grandchild.
