Depression is complicated, and I cannot tell you in one sermon how to fight it. What I can tell you is this: if you come to me or one of the deacons, we will walk alongside you and support you.

There is one thing I can say with confidence: if you stay strong, fight the good fight, and don’t give up, your life story will not end with depression. It will not be defined by depression. It will be defined by Jesus – the One who died on a cross so you wouldn’t have to.

Tips for dealing with depression:
1. Don’t face it alone
2. Seek help
3. Make God the centerpiece
4. Focus on what will be, not what currently is

Today was Promotion Sunday! We were able to recognize our rising kindergarteners and rising 6th graders by presenting them a Bible. Our rising 6th graders got some Youth merch too!

A consistent daily prayer life literally changes how a brain acts. Just 12 minutes of daily prayer over an 8-week time frame makes your brain look indistinguishable from what it was. Primarily the part of the brain that is impacted is the one that deals with fear and anxiety. In other words, his research proved that God designed you in a way, not just that prayer is a cool thing to have, but a necessity to live by. Prayer is not just a tool that makes life easier but a necessity you have to depend on.

Lord, today we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. Thank you for their courage, sacrifice, and love for others. Comfort the families who carry loss, bless those who have served, and help us never take our freedoms for granted. May we live with gratitude, compassion, and faith each day. Amen.

Amelia Youth did an awesome job leading worship yesterday! Make to sure watch if you missed this special service!

In our times of struggle, God wants us to lean into Him, rather than away from Him. Ultimately if we trust Him, he will plant seeds in our lives. Life can be hard. It is a series of challenges that we have to overcome, but we can call on and cry out to God in our times of need, that’s what He wants us to do, just like Jeremiah did. As we go through life, let us remember that there is purpose in our suffering, and through our times of struggle God’s plan for us still remains. His forgiveness and love are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness through all life’s circumstances. -Olivia Mederos

When we open up, we gain a relief found in knowing we are understood by others and Jesus. When we choose to lead a brighter life, we find people who are right for us. Finding those people to confide in is game changing. It shows us that we are not in the valley alone. God has given us each other to support and love one another. -Ella Parrott

🎓 Join us this Sunday as our youth lead the service and we take time to honor and recognize our graduates! We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments!

🍽️ Following the service, we’ll enjoy a potluck lunch in their honor. Please bring a favorite dish to share as we fellowship and celebrate our graduates as a church family!
