We're looking for a church musician. Is it you? Is it your friend? Shares are welcome!
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide piano accompaniment for the hymns selected by the Pastor which will be sung by the congregation during worship services
• Accompany the church choir during rehearsals and when they sing during the service
• Perform supplemental music throughout the worship service, including preludes, offertories, and postludes
• Collaborate with the pastor and the music director in planning and executing worship services
• Select and prepare diverse music that fits the liturgical season and, to the extent possible, is consistent with the theme of the service
• Maintain and care for musical instruments by arranging to have the piano tuned and the organ repaired as needed and within the maintenance budget.
Minimum Qualifications
• Excellent piano skills with demonstrated proficiency in accompanying hymns and choral music
• Strong sight-reading ability
• Knowledge of traditional hymns and sacred music repertoire
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clergy, choir director, and volunteers
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to regular Sunday worship services and special services (Christmas, Easter, etc.)
• Passion for worship and ministry through music

Highly Desired Qualifications
• Organ performance ability – candidates with organ skills are strongly preferred
• Formal music education or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in church music ministry
• Familiarity with Presbyterian worship traditions

Schedule
• One Sunday morning worship service
• Choir rehearsals before the church service
• Additional services for holidays and special occasions
• Weddings and funerals are optional services that are negotiated on a case-by-case basis, with separate compensation for each event.________________________________________
