It’s easy to notice what’s wrong in someone else and miss what God is trying to reveal in us.
In Luke 18, the Pharisee came to God looking around the room, comparing his life to someone else’s. The tax collector came looking honestly at his own heart.
Pride compares. Humility confesses.
Before we ask God to change them, correct them, or show them…maybe our first prayer should be, “God, search me.”
There is freedom when we stop trying to prove ourselves and simply come to God in need of His grace.
