"Giving You Your Flowers"
"A couple of weeks ago, during prayer, God spoke to my heart and said, "give her, her flowers". At first, I thought, okay I'll tell her in her office. But God said, "No. Give her, her flowers".
In the world, the phrase 'give someone their flowers' means to praise, honor, appreciate, and thank someone for their hard work; their gifts, their sacrifices, and the good they have done while they are still here to receive it-rather than waiting until they are gone.
And so today, Sunday, August 16, 2026, is the day we give you your flowers. Bishop, you are a true definition of Proverbs 31:10-31, a virtuous woman. And this is only one of the many titles you carry.
You are a Bishop, Apostle, Pastor, mother, grandmother, wife, friend, mentor, leader, teacher, counselor, and so much more.
You wear many hats, and yet you continue to wear them with grace. You are selfless when it comes to yourself. You often put the needs of others before your own. You lead with gentle hands, but you stand firmly on the Word of God and refuse to compromise when it comes to this house and the people God has entrusted to you.
Bishop, you are a strong woman of God with a heart of gold. You carry the tremendous responsibility of leading God's people toward purpose, destiny, and fulfillment. And that assignment has not always been easy.
You have endured sleepless nights, stressful days, hurt, pain, heartache, disappointment, being lied on, being talked about, being misunderstood, and sometimes being underappreciated.
There have been moments when you could have walked away. There have been moments when you could have said, 'enough is enough'. But even through all of that, you kept standing. You kept smiling. You kept teaching. You kept listening. You kept praying. You kept serving. And you kept leading God's people.
Not only do you lead this house, but God has also entrusted you with the responsibility of giving guidance, wisdom, and direction to other leaders who need you.
God uses you to help bring order to His Kingdom, not only here in the US but across the world.
And I know this assignment can become tedious. It can become overwhelming. It can become stressful. There are responsibilities that many people will never see and burdens that man people will never understand. Yet, every time the call goes out, you answer. Every time someone needs you, you show up. Every time God gives you an assignment, you say yes.
And today, I simply want you to know that we see you. We appreciate you. We honor you. We love you, and we thank God for you. Your job is not easy. You go through a lot, but you continue to stand. You give so much, and sometimes you receive far less than you deserve in return.
But Bishop, your labor is not in vain. The sacrifices you have made are not in vain. The prayers you have prayed are not in vain. The tears you have cried are not in vain. The sleepless nights are not in vain. The people you have helped, the lives you have touched, the leaders you have poured into, and the souls you have encouraged, all of it matters. And even when people don't see it, God sees it. Even when people don't understand the weight you carry, God knows. Your greatest reward will not come from people. Your greatest reward will come from God.
He sees your heart. He knows your sacrifices. He knows your intentions. He knows your desire to do His will and His will alone. And I believe that in His perfect time, God is going to reward you openly for what you have done privately.
So today, Bishop, we don't want to wait until it's too late. We don't want to wait until you're no longer here to tell you what you mean to us. Today, we give you your flowers. Thank you for your leadership, your sacrifice and your prayers. Thank you for your wisdom. Thank you for your strength. Thank you for your love. Thank you for continuing to say yes to God. And most importantly, thank you for being who God called you to be.
May God continue to strengthen you, restore you, refresh you, protect you, and pour back into you everything you have poured into others. May He give you the strength to continue the assignment, the grace to continue the journey, and the peace to know that your work is making a difference."
