Sunday is the DAY! Worship at 9 am at Dexter Park. Fundraiser lunch for The Ark Preschool following worship. Park & Pool Party from 6:30-8:45! May was busy for many people and so a relaxing evening sounds like a perfect time to take a breather, cool off, eat some yummy desserts, play some games, and just enjoy being together. Everyone welcome!

Wisdom comes from multiple directions. First and primary is God. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Wisdom is also a family affair - see 1:8: your father’s instructions… your mother’s teaching.
How cool is that!?! Mom and Dad - wisdom is to come from you; not held tightly but to be dispelled frequently and often. There is a verse in Deuteronomy 6 that says to parents to speak of God and the truths of God when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. That sounds like - often and anytime you may. - Pastor Brad

"And gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was like the face of an angel." Acts 6:15
This verse is about Stephen - one of the 7 appointed to establish ministry to a group of widows. Just 4 verses prior to this one, we read of 5 groups of people who “rose up and disputed with Stephen.” So, here is someone who is facing opposition from multiple fronts - and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel. Let’s be mindful of our facial expressions today; we don’t have to look at our faces, but someone else does! What are they seeing? - Pastor Brad
