Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church invites you to join us for our Lay Day Celebration on Sunday, September 27, 2026, during our 11:00 AM Worship Service.

We are honored to welcome Ms. Vicki Freeman as our Guest Speaker. Ms. Freeman serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Lumberton District Lay Council and as President of the Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church Lay Council.

Lay Day is a time to celebrate the faithfulness, service, leadership, and dedication of the laity who continue to strengthen the ministry and mission of the Church.

Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church is excited to support the Lumberton District as we gather for the 2026 Baccalaureate Service on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 6:30 PM.

We will also join the district for the Sunday School Convention on Saturday, August 1, 2026 beginning at 9:30 AM.

Both events will take place at Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church, 15956 Old Lake Rd., Riegelwood, NC 28456.

We celebrate every graduate, every teacher, every leader, and every student who continues to grow in faith, wisdom, and purpose. Piney Grove is proud to be a part of this sacred moment of recognition, learning, and district fellowship. Dream, believe, achieve.

Join Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church for our July and August Bible Study Series:

“The Authority and Name of Jesus”

In a world filled with distractions, pressure, fear, and uncertainty, the people of God must be reminded that there is still power, authority, access, victory, and responsibility in the Name of Jesus.

This study will challenge us to move beyond simply saying His Name and begin living, praying, and operating under the authority of Christ as true Kingdom Citizens.

Happy Independence Day from Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church

Today, as our nation marks 250 years of American independence, we pause to celebrate the blessings of freedom, the progress that has been made, and the hope that continues to carry us forward.

Yet, as people of faith and conscience, we also acknowledge that freedom has not always been experienced equally. We remember the pain, sacrifice, resilience, and enduring struggle of Black America. Our celebration is not empty. It is prayerful. It is reflective. It is rooted in truth, hope, and justice.

Scripture reminds us:

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
2 Corinthians 3:17

As we honor this historic day, we pray for justice, unity, healing, and true liberty for all people. May God continue to strengthen our communities, guide our nation, and remind us that freedom is both a gift to cherish and a calling to uphold.
