Dear Church Family,

This Sunday, May 17th, we will be able to gather again for our worship assembly. While we are very thankful and excited, we wanted to take a few moments to let you know what you can expect on Sunday. We are closely following the Guidelines for Places of Worship that the Governor released on May 4th. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with those guidelines. The following items are specific ways that our gatherings will be impacted and changed for the time being:

1. We will only be meeting for the time being on Sunday Mornings at 10AM for worship. There will be no classes beforehand. We also will not be meeting in Small Groups or on Wednesday Nights for the time being. We ask that there continue to be no other gatherings at the building.

2. Please remain home if:
- You had a fever of 100.4F or higher in the past 2 days
- You have a cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms typical of Covid-19
- You have had known exposure to someone with Covid-19 in the past 14 days

3. If you are 65 or older or have underlying health conditions that place you at a higher risk for severe illness if infected by Covid-19 (including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, severe obesity, asthma, or immunocompromising conditions) we encourage you to refrain from attending.

4. On Sunday mornings the Elders will open the building at 9:45AM. All “meet and greet” interactions will need to take place outside the building before or after services.

5. There will be tables set up in the lobby with masks (please bring your own if you have one). Masks or face coverings are always to be worn by everyone during our assembly. The only exceptions being:
- Worship leaders (i.e. anyone addressing the congregation from the podium). Worship leaders must be at least 12 feet from everyone else when addressing the congregation
- You can remove your mask to take communion
- Face coverings for children under 10 are optional
- Face coverings for children under 2 years old are prohibited by CDC Guidelines

6. We will have individual communion packs on the tables in the lobby. Please pick up your communion pack when you enter and at the designated time you will take communion. There will be no passing of communion trays.

7. Collection baskets for contribution will be set out in the lobby.

8. We ask that everyone maintain 6-foot physical distancing practices while seated. Family groups can sit together, but there needs to be at least 6 feet between each family group. We will have certain pews roped off to help us maintain the proper distancing.

9. We ask that everyone refrain from any physical contact (i.e. handshaking or embracing) with each other outside of family groups.

10. There will be no printed bulletins. We will continue to post the weekly bulletin on our website and send it out via email.

11. There will be a recording of our service posted on our website each Sunday afternoon.

The above list does not cover every aspect of the Guidance for Places of Worship, but hopefully, it helps you to prepare for Sunday and gives you an idea of what to expect. The full list of Guidelines can be found at the following link and will be posted in our church building:

We ask for your continued prayers and patience as we move forward with hope and caution. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or need further clarification.

Dear Church Family,

We have decided to continue the temporary suspension of all worship assemblies, classes, small group meetings, and events at our church building through Sunday, May 3rd. We will reevaluate after the Governor lays out his plan for churches on May 4th. Please continue to pray for the eradication of the Coronavirus and pray for our leaders, health professionals, and all of those who have been impacted by the virus worldwide.

Dear Church Family,

The CDC, the President, and the Arkansas Governor have recently restricted public gatherings to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Because of this and our concern for the well-being of our congregation, we have decided to temporarily suspend all worship assemblies, classes, small group meetings, and events at our church building for the remainder of this month.

We ask for your prayers and patience as we enter into a time period unlike anything we have known. It is our hope and prayer that this will be a temporary inconvenience, but please know we will continue to monitor this situation daily, as things continue to evolve rapidly. We will do our best to continue to provide updates to you to keep you informed.

We have prepared individual communion supplies that are available for anyone in the congregation who needs them. We will distribute these at the building on Saturday (3/21/2020) from 10AM-Noon in a drop off format at the west entrance. We are currently limited on small grape juice bottles, so if you are able to provide your own grape juice please consider this. We have plenty of communion crackers. Another possibility is for you to provide your own communion supplies if that is more convenient for you.

In the short term, we encourage those who are able to participate in a time of family worship on Sunday mornings. We would also encourage those who are able to seek out other congregations online that are able to offer a live stream of their service. College Church of Christ in Searcy and West Side Church of Christ in Russellville are two that we know of, but there are many. There is also the option of the In Search of the Lord’s Way TV program (KFTA Fox 24, 7:30AM).

We do not have the capabilities to offer a live-streamed service, but we are making some alternative plans in case the CDC recommendations for limiting group gatherings are extended. We ask that you are patient with us in this area as we prayerfully consider what is best for our congregation.

Another area we may all be concerned about is our giving. We hope you include plans to maintain your giving as part of your weekly routine. As you know, the work of the Lord’s church does not stop, especially during these unfamiliar times. Our work may even increase as we strive to serve our members, as well as those who may be struggling in our community and our world. You can mail in your offerings to the church office at P.O. Box 117, Clarksville, AR 72830. We certainly appreciate your generosity and the love and concern you show for those we serve.

It is very important going forward that we stay connected through any means that we can. Our text system is our primary means of mass communication. If you know of members who need to be added to that list, please let us know. For those without text capabilities, it is very important that we work together to inform them of news and updates. If you think someone is missing out on announcements or information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to them.

We thank you for your continued prayers and patience. Please know we are lifting up this congregation in prayer daily. May we also continue to pray together for those worldwide who are suffering and hurting. We pray that God will continue to grant us protection, wisdom, and peace as we move forward.

Dear Church Family,

The CDC and the President are now recommending that groups larger than 10 refrain from assembling for the next 15 days. Because of these guidelines and the rising spread of COVID-19, we have decided to cancel our Wednesday Night service this week, as well as any church activities that may have been planned. The Shepherds are meeting this week to determine our plans for Sunday, and we will send out information about that later this week. It is very important during this time that we stay in communication. If you know of someone in the congregation who does not have access to Facebook or does not receive our text messages, please reach out to them and pass on this information. This will be very important going forward as we try to keep everyone informed. We continue to pray for God’s wisdom and protection at this time. We ask that you pray for us as we seek His guidance.

Your Shepherds

Dear Clarksville Church of Christ Family,

As a church leadership we are monitoring the current health concerns associated with the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Please know that we deeply care about the spiritual and physical well-being of our congregation and this community, and we are striving to discern steps that should be taken.

As of right now there has been no change to our normal gatherings, but we do encourage the practice of preventative measures such as washing of hands, refraining from handshakes and staying home if you don’t feel well. Older members and those that may be at risk should be aware of their personal well being. Although your presence will be missed, we certainly will understand if you choose to stay home.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed of any changes affecting our congregation.

May God bless our world and those affected by this virus.
