Hunter Humphrey was ordained as a Ruling Elder this afternoon. He is a descendant of one of our original Ruling Elders, Finley Moore, from 1833. He follows his mother, grandmother, and great grandfather as Ruling Elders in our church also.

We are very sad to announce the death of our former beloved minister, Raymond Judd. Raymond served as our minister from 1959 to 1964, but always kept in close contact with Clarksville. During his time in Clarksville, he was a founding member of both the Red River County Historical Society and the Red River County Public Library. He also served as President of the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce. After leaving here, he served as the Chaplain at Trinity University in San Antonio until his retirement. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, Mary Jane, and their daughter, Jane.

We have decided to make the call to cancel service on Sunday. All indications are that we will have some form of winter precipitation on Saturday and Sunday morning. We will also have extremely cold temperatures throughout the period and into next week. TXDoT has said to cancel any travel plans. Stay safe and warm.
