Matthew 5:9 says, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

There is a difference between peacekeeping and peacemaking.

Peacekeeping often avoids difficult conversations. It stays silent to keep everyone comfortable. It fears rocking the boat, even when something needs to be addressed.

Peacemaking is different. Peacemaking is the courageous work of pursuing reconciliation, speaking truth in love, setting healthy boundaries, extending forgiveness, and addressing problems before they become divisions.

Real peace is not simply the absence of conflict. Biblical peace is the presence of wholeness, healing, and right relationships.

Peace is rarely something that just happens. It is something we work toward through prayer, humility, wisdom, and obedience to Christ.

This week, let's ask ourselves: Am I merely keeping the peace, or am I doing the hard work of making peace?

Let's work to be women who use words wisely!

What a fun time we had at our women’s brunch Saturday!

We talked about being “Rooted in Christ: Growing in Joy” and were reminded that true joy is not based on our circumstances, but grows when our lives are rooted in Jesus. (Galatians 5:22-23)

We reflected on how:
• Joy comes from abiding in Christ (John 15:4)
• Joy can exist even in trials (James 1:2-4)
• The joy of the Lord gives us strength and peace (Nehemiah 8:10, Philippians 4:4-8)

One of the biggest takeaways was:
“Joy doesn’t mean life is easy. It means your roots go deeper than your circumstances.”

Thank you to everyone who came, prayed and encouraged one another. We are thankful for the fellowship and the reminder that when we stay connected to Christ, his joy flows through us, for He is the vine and we are the branches. (John 15:5)

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.
As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude, pray for peace, and remember those who laid down their lives for others.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13
From all of us at North Church, thank you to the heroes who gave everything. 🇺🇸❤️

Hi sweet friends! 🌿💐

Just a reminder that our Rooted Women’s Brunch is tomorrow at 11 AM at, and I would absolutely love to see you there! This is going to be such a special time of connection, encouragement, food, and fellowship together.

Pastor Erin will be sharing an encouraging word, and we’ll also have some fun gift drawings during the brunch! 🎁

If you’re able, bring a small gardening-themed item for our fun exchange! It can be anything simple and spring-inspired—flowers, seeds, garden décor, gloves, pots, candles, tea towels, etc. No pressure at all if you can’t bring something—just come! 🌷

Children are absolutely welcome to join us! If your little ones may need something to stay busy, feel free to bring quiet activities for them. We’ll also have coloring sheets and a few busy activities available.

I truly believe this is going to be a meaningful and refreshing time together, and I hope you’ll make plans to be there! 💚

Love chooses to give the benefit of the doubt!

Love chooses to give the benefit of the doubt!

We all do it. Someone’s late, and we assume they’re irresponsible. We hear a rumor, and we fill in the blanks. We judge hearts we can’t actually see.

But 1 Corinthians 13:7 gives us a better way: “Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]."

To “believe all things” doesn’t mean we ignore truth or enable sin. It means mature love starts with a posture of trust instead of suspicion. It means we ask questions before we draw conclusions. It means we remember that every person we meet is someone Jesus died for. It means we remember we all need grace, and most of us are doing our best!

Challenge for today: When you’re tempted to assume the worst, pause and pray, “God, help me believe the best here until I have reason not to.” That’s what Christlike love looks like.

Happy Mother’s day Ladies. We are so thankful for each of you and the impact you have on everyone! 🩷

🌿 Rooted in Christ 🌿

In a world that constantly shifts, there is a place where we can stand firm—deeply rooted in Christ.

When our lives are grounded in Him, we are not easily shaken by circumstances. His truth steadies us, His grace sustains us, and His love causes us to grow in every season.

No matter what you’re walking through right now, staying connected to Jesus changes everything. What feels uncertain above the surface is held secure by what’s rooted deep below.

📖 “She is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever she does prospers.” — Psalm 1:3

Let’s be women who remain rooted—drawing from His presence daily, growing in His Word, and bearing fruit that lasts.

What would it look like for you to let God lead today?

To release control…
To trust His timing…
To rest in His peace?

Drop a 💚 if you’re choosing surrender over striving today.

It’s easy to walk past what we don’t understand.

Easy to overlook what feels uncomfortable.

Easy to miss the people Jesus never ignored.

But when we begin to see through His eyes, everything changes.

Jesus didn’t measure worth by status, appearance, or circumstance: He saw people. He moved toward the hurting, the forgotten, the unseen. And in Matthew 25:40, He reminds us that how we love “the least of these” is how we love Him.

What if we slowed down this week?
What if we chose to notice?
What if we let compassion lead instead of convenience?

Because every person you pass…
every story you don’t know…
every life that feels invisible to the world,
matters deeply to God.

Let’s be women who see.
Let’s be women who love like Jesus.
