We love our Veterans! We were pleased to nominate two of our Lake Country Area Agency on Aging members, both former WACs, to be honored with Quilts of Valor at the Community Memorial Day Service yesterday. Mary Williams and Annie Jenkins both served in the Women's Army Corps and are strong, courageous women whose lives have continued to be dedicated to service to their families, community, and country. Two of our CPC members were also on the stage with Al Heinze serving as emcee and Bev Chestnutt leading the National Anthem and "I'll Fly Away"! The festivities continued after the program with an inside picnic at the church.

CANCELLATION: Sunday, May 24, Worship in the Park has been cancelled due to predictions of rain. Please join us at 10:00 am (our regular summer hour) for Worship in the sanctuary, followed by a potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall.

In recognition of Earth Day, please join us for a potluck luncheon immediately after Worship this Sunday, April 26, in the Fellowship Hall. We'll have a special guest speaker from Occoneechee State Park.
