Do you ever think about the history of a chimney left standing? At Christwalk in the Valley, you will find all types of history that has been left behind to ponder. These two chimneys on our property can be found if you choose to walk around and look for things. One is located in the woods near what we call The Five Acres, where our property meets The Orchard Neighborhood and Country Club. Call to reserve the Elijah Cabin at Christwalk in the Valley. This newly renovated cabin sleeps up to (4) adults in a cozy but large, one room concept, plus a full bath. The front porch over looks the lake with comfortable chairs and a swing! The Upper Room is directly across from Elijah where you will find a great meeting area with high-top tables, a sectional sofa, internet access and the Wells/Warner Library. One of our favorite things to do as a part of our ministry at Christwalk in the Valley is share our testimony and how we got here to serve. History is always important and helps fill in the spaces and seasons leading up to where you currently reside in your walk with God. Every step matters and builds who we are today. At times we need to share different parts in hopes that God will use it some way to encourage and touch others. With God all things are possible!

This past week history was shared as the Grand Ole Opry celebrated 100 years of radio broadcasting. Many of you probably watched the special Wednesday Night as some of our favorite singers shared their talent and remembered the rich history of the last century in Country and Gospel Music.

We love the Opry and wanted to share how God used it during a season of our life, because our testimony today has a glimpse of history from the Opry. We were honored to meet and share the stage with several of those who are remembered as legends in country music today all because of clogging. We have many friends around the world that have got to do some incredible things through this amazing form of dance. This is a big thank you to all our clogging friends who helped mold this part of our testimony and history. Congratulations to all who have had the honor of standing in the circle of stage from the Ryman Auditorium that now is at the Opry. I’m thankful the Lord allowed both of us that special opportunity.

This is the door that opens to the Outdoor Chapel at Christwalk in the Valley. As groups and individuals staying here open and walk through it during their retreat, I am reminded of the Apostle Paul and what he said in 1 Corinthians 16:9…“There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me
Our prayer is that many will leave here with new vision for continued ministry despite the enemy and his fear tactics. God is bigger!

Guests always ask if there is a Walmart close to Christwalk in the Valley…YES! Surrounded by a mountain range, our Walmart in Clayton, GA is a short and beautiful 17 mile drive. Home Depot is next door to Walmart as well.

Christwalk partnered with Forget Me Not Ministry and Pomerene Hospital to host a special brunch this week. We traveled to the Amish Country of Millersburg/Holmesville, Ohio to do the outreach in honor of Mom’s who have had a child loss through stillborn births or miscarrriages. Here are a few pictures of the beautiful snow around the farm owned by the Mast Family where the event took place. The ministry of Christwalk reaches further than the retreat center in the North Georgia Mountains. Thanks to those who give faithfully to help us do outreach ministry in other places!
