Presbyterian Women of the Missouri River Valley We are Presbyterian women living in E. Nebraska and W. Iowa sharing our love of God and doing mission together to show our love for others.

Presbyterian Women (PW) is the national women’s organization of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). With a history of more than 200 years, PW is committed to nurturing faith, supporting the church’s mission, working for justice and building community. It is organized at all levels of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in congregations, presbyteries and synods as well as General Assembly.

Presbyterian Women, we’re gathering online! Let us come together to “Rejoice in Hope” during PW’s Online Churchwide Gathering Event, August 5, 2021.

When, How, What If and What Else?


The Online Churchwide Gathering Event and the Business Meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook and PW's Gathering page.

All are welcome to view both events. Here's what you need to know so you don't miss a thing!

When is the Gathering Online Event? August 5, 2021, 4–6 pm Eastern (3–5 pm Central, 2–4 pm Mountain, 1–3 pm Pacific, 12–2 pm Alaska, 10 am–12 pm Hawaii Standard)

Do I need to register? Nope!

Do I need a Zoom account or link? Not at all! The Gathering Event will be livestreamed! Watch at www.presbyterianwomen.org/gathering (PW’s Gathering web page) or on PW’s page, www.facebook.com/presbyterianwomenpcusa.

Is there a fee to participate? No fee. You are encouraged to participate and support PW’s ministries and programs.

What do I need to bring? A loving heart! Communion will be celebrated, so have worship elements available. The Gathering Offering will be received for PW’s Annual Fund. You can give securely any time between now and the Online Gathering Event at www.presbyterianwomen.org/give. Or, mail a check made payable to Presbyterian Women, Remittance Processing—Giving, PO Box 643652, Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3652. Include “Gathering Offering” in the notes line of the check.

What if I have a question? Your PW staff is an email or phone call away! Or perhaps you can find your answer on PW’s Gathering page, www.presbyterianwomen.org/gathering.

So there’s a Business Meeting too? Yes! Every three years, PW meets to set the course for the next triennium. Want to take a peek at PW at work? If so, tune in to witness PW’s triennial Business Meeting, which will be livestreamed on PW’s page on August 4 from 1 to 3 pm ET and August 5 from 1 to 3 pm ET. Watch at www.presbyterianwomen.org/gathering (PW’s Gathering web page) or on PW’s page, www.facebook.com/presbyterianwomenpcusa. Stated Clerk J. Herbert Nelson II, Nancy Taylor of the Presbyterian Historical Society, current General Assembly (GA) co-moderators Elona Street-Stewart and Gregory Bentley, and past GA co-moderator Vilmarie Citrón-Olivieri will bring greetings too (as will PW’s new moderator team). Danelle is the first Dakota Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota Oyate [pronounced oh-YAH-tay] woman ordained in the Presbyterian Church, (USA). Growing up in the nongeographic Presbytery of Dakota, her Native American culture plays an integral role in current social issues facing many American Indigenous people, in particularly Native American Christian young people. Danelle and her husband Ron have spent many years learning cultural traditions, values and customs in order to "bridge the language gap" between what they call mainstream Christianity and Native American spirituality. Danelle is currently working as a Student Rights Specialist at Haskell Indian Nations University and lives with her husband, Ron McKinney, a teaching elder, reside with their three children and two
