Make no mistake, the voice of God, the voice of Love may lead us where we do not expect to go, but it will lead us to life, and it will lead us to the fullness of relationship with God. And that is precisely where we are supposed to be. Precisely where we are inviting others to be. Precisely the voice we are to listen to, above and against any voice of this world which would dare to tell us otherwise. May we listen to God’s voice, and fire all the other gods of this world.

In God’s story, true and honest reconciliation is a prominent and primary character, along with relationships that unify and bring together, that build up rather than tear down and separate out. In God’s story, the story of our hearts which we are invited to not only tell to ourselves but to tell to the world, we see how families are reunited and how forgiveness is realized because confession, the honest acknowledgement of wrongdoing, was offered first. In God’s story, we see the vision for the world, and for each of us within this world, come to fruition. What story will you tell the world in this day? What story will you tell yourself? Will be one that divides and separates, or will it be the story of God, flowing from your heart to reconcile, reunify, and make all things new? There really is only one story which we need to tell, and it is already within us.
