“If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” — John 8:51

One illustration from Sunday’s sermon reminded us that Jesus took the full weight of death upon Himself so that, for those who trust in Him, only its shadow remains.

The promise of eternal life rests not in our ability to keep God’s Word perfectly, but in the One who kept it perfectly for us and conquered the grave.

That’s our hope, that’s our Savior!
