St Paul's Episcopal Church

St Paul's Episcopal Church St. We worship together on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Welcome to St Paul's Episcopal Church! We strive to extend the love of Christ to all we meet.

Paul’s Episcopal Church is an open and affirming congregation that welcomes all as beloved children of God and seeks to extend Christ’s love while providing a Safe Space in Claremore. We are an open and affirming congregation that believes that each person is a beloved child of God, gifted and called to community and ministry. We support and respect the dignity of all persons, regardless of age, r

ace, economic status, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, marital status, family configuration, physical and mental ability, or faith history. We recognize that there are differences among us but believe that we can love alike even though we may not think alike. We are truly at our best when we listen and grow together. We hope that here you will find a true community of faith; a place where every person is both teacher and student, all are valued equally as their authentic selves, and no one is discriminated against because of the way in which they have been created. We value our diversity and celebrate those differences as intentional acts of God’s creation. We invite all people to join us in our faith journey towards greater love, understanding, and mutual respect. We actively seek people from all walks of life to join our church community and its leadership.

Pride is a Journey:
Everyone's story is different. Some are questioning. Some are healing. Some are rebuilding faith after years of hurt. Some are simply looking for a place where they can be themselves. Wherever you are on your journey,

Happy June, friends!

Summer is arriving, students are beginning their break, and we have several exciting things happening at St. Paul's this month.

Last Sunday, we were blessed to be led in Morning Prayer by Deacon Emeritus Linda Paul and Deacon-in-training Ron Parker. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

This Sunday (6/7), the Second Sunday after Pentecost, we'll explore what it means to express tenderness the way Christ does. Join us for Holy Eucharist at 10am, followed by coffee hour and fellowship.

🎬 Summer Movie Night
Mark your calendars for Friday, June 12 at 6pm!

We'll gather in the Parish Hall for an evening of movies, popcorn, snacks, and community. We'll be showing two films that celebrate friendship, family, courage, and love. It's a relaxed evening designed simply to enjoy one another's company, so bring a friend and come join us.

📚 Tuesdays at RSU
While our regular meetings are on summer break, our students remain an important part of our church family. Summer Movie Night will be our first gathering of the season, and we'll have more opportunities to connect throughout the summer.

🥫 Ministry/Discretionary Fund
This fund helps us assist people facing urgent needs such as utility bills and other emergencies. Right now, the fund is running especially low. Donations are greatly appreciated and help us continue serving our neighbors.

🥫 Pride Community Shelf
Our community shelf continues to serve many people each week. Non-perishable food donations are always welcome.

🙏 Please continue praying:
• For a safe and joyful summer for students, faculty, and staff
• For those facing uncertainty in work or finances
• For those living in fear or experiencing hardship
• For peace in our communities and throughout the world

Upcoming Events:
• June 7 – Holy Eucharist at 10am
• June 12 – Summer Movie Night at 6pm
• June 21 – Pride Mass at 10am
• June 27 – Claremore Pride Festival
• June 28 – St. Paul's Festival Day

Wherever this summer finds you, may you know God's presence, peace, and love.

You are always welcome here.

Join us Friday, June 12, at 6pm in the parish hall for summer movie night. We'll have popcorn and other fun snacks as we watch a couple of fun flicks - one a dramedy based on a true story about le***an and gay activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners' strike in 1984, and the other a comedy about a gay couple whose son is set to marry the daughter of conservative senator.

This will be a great way to sit back and relax as we enjoy each other's company in an informal setting, so come along and bring a friend!

At St. Paul's Episcopal Church, we want to say this clearly:

LGBTQ+ people are loved by God and fully welcomed here.

We celebrate your gifts, your relationships, your families, and your authentic self.

Our support is not limited to Pride Month.

It is part of who we are every day of the year.

Here you will be loved.

Hello, everyone!

This Sunday (5/31) is Trinity Sunday, the Sunday when we celebrate the mystery and beauty of the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit… or as some also say, Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.

Last Sunday, we continued our Pentecost tradition of outdoor worship and fellowship together. Even with the rain-soaked lawn, it turned into a beautiful morning gathered in the courtyard outside the double red doors.

This coming Sunday, we’ll observe the ancient and beautiful tradition of Morning Prayer at 10am.

The service will be led by Deacon Emeritus Linda Paul and Deacon-in-training Ron Parker, who will also be sharing reflections on the lectionary readings for Trinity Sunday.

Afterward, stay and enjoy coffee hour and fellowship together.

A few other things happening around St. Paul’s:

🎨 Sunny Dayz Mural Festival
The much-anticipated festival is finally here! Be sure to check it out this Saturday, May 30, from Noon–8pm in downtown Claremore’s Lilac District.

📚 Tuesdays at RSU
While summer break is underway, our college students remain an important part of our church family, and we look forward to occasional gatherings throughout the summer.

🥫 Ministry/Discretionary Fund
This fund helps us assist neighbors facing urgent needs like utility bills and other emergencies. Right now, the fund is running especially low, and donations are deeply appreciated.

🥫 Pride Community Shelf
The shelf continues to serve many people in our community, so non-perishable donations are always welcome.

🖍 Classroom Needs
Even with the school year winding down, we’re already preparing for next year, and classroom donations continue to help tremendously.

Please continue praying for our students, our community, those facing uncertainty or fear, and all affected by war and unrest throughout the world.

You are always welcome here.

• May 30 – Sunny Dayz Mural Festival
• May 31 – Morning Prayer & Trinity Sunday
