Tuesday Notes:

Unity

Read- Ephesians 4: 1-6
“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,” Ephesians 4: 1

What unites us?

1. One Body
2. One Spirit
3. One hope of our calling
4. One Lord
5. One faith
6. One baptism
7. One God and Father

Read- 1 Corinthians 8:5-6, 1 Corinthians 8:13, Ephesians 4:13, and Jude 3:24-25.

We don’t have to agree on everything, but we are to believe and be under the same Holy Spirit. We must lay aside our petty differences and carry on His calling.

Sin is always a divider. It started with Adam and Eve.

We are not alone in our Christian life. Paul shows us in Ephesians what should unite us. Let us be united in the Lord!

Tuesday Notes:
Read Job 1 & 2

Job was described by God as a “man of perfect integrity, who feared God and turned away from evil.”
And God even said: “No one else on earth is like him.”

Yet, Job went through a lot of loss.

Remember that the enemy won’t detonate a bomb in the desert; he will detonate it where it can get the most casualties!

The question is: How will it affect you? Is everything that God gave you a gift or a right?

Job was attacked in 4 areas:
Job’s possessions
But that didn’t work! Job praised God
Job recognized that everything was a gift from God
Job’s dignity
Job was covered in sores, and now no one could get close to him.
Job’s help and support
His wife is suffering and just lost everything as well. Their means of income, food, and everyone they loved.
Satan used his wife’s emotions to turn her against Job.
Men are more pragmatic, and women more emotional
A man without the support of his wife struggles in life
Job’s Counsel
Satan used that pragmatism of men to have them think logically.
He attacked his internal counsel - his thoughts
And his external counsel - his friends

Remember: The attacks are meant to take you out
The question becomes: Where are you standing?
Are you standing in the open, unprotected?
Are you standing under the wings of the Almighty?

Psalm 91:4
4 He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.

Faith- The only way we survive
Having faith in God during our trying times is the only way to overcome the attacks that will come!

Do you have that kind of faith?
Have faith in Him today, for He will save you!

Tuesday Notes:

Servanthood Greatness: (Notes), Hebrews 6:10

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God calls us all to serve. He will not forget what you have done.

He will reward us. How?

1. He is just. (Just like our verse states)
2. He has perfect memory. (Read: Revelation 22:12)
3. Selfish service has its reward too. (Read: Matthew 6:5 and 10)
4. If we have Godly motives, we are promised Godly rewards.

Read: Luke 14:14 Romans 14:12 and 2 Corinthians 5:10 Salvation is a “Gift” of God. (Given through His grace by faith in Jesus Christ.) Then we will receive an incorruptible crown.

Read 1 Corinthians 9:25 and James 1:12

5. We will be judged on the light of truth we knew, the opportunities God gave us and, our responses to these opportunities.

6. Are we being true servants of God?
